Pyrophosphatase, Inorganic (PYR-EE201)
|Pyrophosphatase hydrolyzes inorganic pyrophosphate generated during in vitro transcription reactions. By removing unwanted pyrophosphate, the equilibrium is shifted to the product side increasing RNA yield.
A PH 7.0 is ideal for optimal performance and the cofactor Mg2+ is required for enzymatic activity.
Expressed in an E.coli strain with the pyrophosphatase gene from yeast.

|One unit of the enzyme hydrolysis 1µmol of inorganic pyrophosphate in 1 min at 25 °C. Enzyme activity is assayed in 100mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.2), 2mM MgCl2 and 2mM inorganic pyrophosphate (PPi).
