Product Background

 Kallikrein 6 (KLK6), also referred to as kallikrein-related peptidase 6, is a member of a family of 15 serine proteases aligned in tandem on human chromosome 19q13.3-4. Of all kallikreins, KLK6 is the most abundant in the adult central nervous system (CNS). Within the CNS, KLK6 is expressed at the highest levels in the brain stem and spinal cord where expression is primarily associated with neurons and oligodendrocytes with a relative paucity of expression by astrocytes.

Formulation
 Lyophilized from 0.22 um filtered solution in 20mM NaAC, 150mM NaCl, 8% trehalose, 0.05% Brij-35 (pH 5.0).
Reconstitution
 Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 20mM NaAC (pH 5.0). It is recommended to resuspend at 0.5 mg/mL if the lyophilized powder is 100 ug or less, at 1mg/ml for 500ug or 1mg lyophilized powder. Do not mix by vortex or vigorous shaking.
Stability And Storage
 -20 to -80°C for 12 months as supplied from date of receipt.；-80°C for 3 months after reconstitution.；Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities for optimal storage. Please minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
