Product Description
Recombinant Human Latexin-Protein is expressed from E.coli with His tag at the N-Terminus.It contains Glu2-Glu222.
Product Background
Latexin, the endogenous protein inhibitor of the A/B subfamily of metallocarboxypeptidases, is expressed in small nociceptive neurons in sensory ganglia and in a subset of neurons in the telencephalon. Recently, the latexin (Lxn) gene was identified as a potential tumor suppressor in several types of solid tumors and lymphoma, and Lxn expression was found to be absent or downregulated in leukemic cells.

Formulation
Lyophilized from 0.22um filtered solution in PBS (pH 7.4). Normally 8% trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.
Reconstitution
Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 ug/ml is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.
Stability And Storage
Reconstituted protein stable at -80°C for 12 months, 4°C for 1 week. Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Human Latexin-on Bis-Tris PAGE under reduced condition. The purity is greater than 95%.
Measured by its ability to inhibit carboxypeptidase A1 cleavage of the colorimetric peptide substrate Ac-Phe-Thiaphe-OH in the presence of 5,5'Dithio-bis (2-nitrobenzoic acid) (DTNB). The IC50-value is < 1 nM.
The purity of Human Latexin is greater than 95% as determined by SEC-HPLC.
